EALABA bowlers sweep the board at the recent Disability Bowls England National Singles Championships held at Gedling IBC, Nottingham.

 

Non - Classified Singles

Chris Gray lead the way after winning his first round match by 1 shot, he went on to dominate the competition and win the DBE Non Classified Singles Championship 21- 6.

Classified Singles 

Of the nine EALABA members that took part, four contested the semi-finals – Internationals Gary Swift & Bob Love, Bowls England National Triples Champion Mike Robertson and John Rogers.  The game between Gary and Bob was expected to be a close affair but Bob had hit an excellent streak of form and dominated from the off, winning 21-3. The other semi-final was closer with John eventually winning 21-14.

 

In the final, Bob Love took a commanding 10-2 lead but despite a short recovery from John, Bob took the National Classified Singles Championship 21-12.
