Weekend of 20th/21st September was a very busy time at Tamworth IBC, when 16 players and their families/supporters gathered foR this years singles championships. The best turn out of players since well before Covid struck. A late withdrawal for medical reasons changed the format to two round robin groups.
Second place players competed for 3rd/4th places whilst the group winners contested the Championship. The later was a very tight match resulting in Gary pipping Stevie to the EALABA Singles Championship by one shot.
A special thank you goes to the volunteer markers:- Barbara Tarpey, Maurice Jones, Bill Maher, Ken Paton, Jeff Knott, Bill Riches and George Pragnell who presented the trophies.
Two course hot lunches were provided both days by new caterers, Sticky Fingers Cafe, Tamworth, who provided good food, in good portions.
Tamworth IBC were kind enough to make their rinks available to us for our soul use throughout the weekend.
