Eleven players recently gathered at Tamworth Bowls Club for this years outdoor singles Championship. Held over 2 days, players were formed into 2 groups each playing on a round-robin format with the top 2 players in each group progressing to the semi-finals. Playing were Reece Taylor, Bob Love, Harry Atkin, Colin Milner, Arthur Redfern, Chris Gray, Gary Swift, Steve Smith, David Stearn, Alice Atkin and Steve Ireland.
Top class bowls was played in excellent weather on this quality County Standard green. The last 4 were Arthur Redfern, Chris Gray, Colin Milner and Gary Swift. Contesting the final were Colin Milner and Chris Gray. 3rd/4th place playoff featured Arthur vs Gary.

Colin Milner dominated the highly consistent Chris Gray running out the winner by 21-8.
