There were 6 player members of EALABA at the DBE v The North over the weekend of 20th – 21st January 2024; Steve Angus, Colin Wagstaff, Barry Nicholson, Mac Otton, David Stearn and Gary Swift.
The teams bowled at South shields and Stanley IBC’s. The competition was 2 set games comprising of 8 ends each set. With some exceptional bowling DBE were ahead on points at the end of day 1, so all to play for on Sunday. Again after some excellent bowling at the end of day DBE were the victors. DBE 70 – 51 The North.
Everyone gave their all, with all EALABA members showing great skills. Gary and Mac, probably 2 of the longest serving EALABA members there and ex-internationals, proved they still had what it takes winning all of their matches in the Pairs over the weekend.
A big thank you to all involved, a great weekend was had.
